Π   The first time we knew anything about Bishop Hills was their ad in the Daily News.  Soon after that, our daughter who works in the medical field gave us a booklet with information on assisted living.  Since Rockford is our home town we thought this would be a good place to check out.   Upon our first visit we fell in love with Bishop Hills because of its design as a building, its caring staff and the homelike situation.  The caring staff always has an extra hug too.  The Lillie Family.

Π   In a way I have been associated with Bishop Hills since its conception.  When I had a crisis situation with my own mother I came to Bishop Hills.  She was skeptical…It was a change and learning process for her AND for me.  I came to appreciate the dedication of the staff.  Some of the things the staff did for my mother, I could not have done.  I was totally amazed at their dedication & care for my mother.  Its more than an elder care community…this place is a family.  It’s a great place for your family member. Π   My mom was only a resident one week before passing away.  As you can imagine , it was an extremely difficult and emotional week for my sisters and I.  That is why I want to express my deepest gratitude for the professional and caring manner exhibited by your staff towards my mother and my family  We spent a lot of time researching various places prior to choosing Bishop Hills and felt that we had made the right choice, but the reality far exceeded our expectations.  I will forever remember the heartfelt concern.  Rest assured I will not hesitate to recommend Bishop Hills in the future to those in need.  Son, Dale Husar

Π   We wanted Dad to be close to where he lived, near his church.  One of his concerns when he came to Bishop Hills was adjusting but he began to say “This is my home”.  In our opinion we thought his prognosis was about 6 months, but due to the fact that he had such great care and help staying on his diet, he extended his life 3 years.  Tom & Sue Arends, owners of The Artisan of Hair Design

Π   There’s just a lot going on at Bishop Hills that mom seems to enjoy.  We felt our parents weret safe at home…we knew they needed more help than they would admit at that time…I don’t know that enough could be said about he Bishop Hills staff.  They are a fantastic group of people that care so much about the residents and really let them know it.  Daughter, Bonnie Braman
